  • Develop a tool to identify any gaps in Conmed services or barriers to/for residents/visitors/staff with disabilities
  • Complete the tool with a representative sample of residents/visitors/staff with disabilities
  • Analyze the results from the tool
  • Update external contracts at renewals to include compliance commitment to AODA
  • Maintain records of AODA training
  • Determine website compliance with WCAG 2.0 level AA – any major change to website to be WCAG2.0 level A compliant


  • Develop an action plan to address the gaps and barriers identified from the tool
  • Post plan on website and have the plan available in an accessible format upon request (where possible)
  • Develop an implementation plan to phase in the action plan over the next 2 years


  • Complete ½ of the identified items from the action plan


  • Complete the remaining ½ of the identified items from the action plan

  • Revise/update the website to be compliant with WCAG 2.0 level AA.
